I love this direct mailer from Ikea. The pop-up idea has been used beautifully to demonstrate both the stylish and easy to assemble nature of Ikea’s flat pack furniture. All items included in the mini bedroom may be purchased at Ikea. Great promotional piece!
The Levi’s adverts are great examples of art direction. Here’s an old advert from 1994.
WOW. That’s some serious patience! Great illustration.

Not sure how I came across this site, but it has some really interesting tableware! A variety of designers have explored form, pattern, typography and much more to create some beautifully creative pieces. From quirky salt and pepper shakers to lightsaber chopsticks, to elegant heart shaped spoons and quaint handmade teapots, the webpage is definitely worth a good look.
Lovely animation. I love the name of this campaign too: “As Life Unfolds” - simple and perfectly suitable!
The Exclamation Comma. “Just because you’re excited about something doesn’t mean you have to end the sentence.”
That’s true.
I’m a big fan of the interrobang.

The White Stuff shop in Nottingham is definitely worth a look, just to admire the store’s interior design. The changing rooms, in particular, are so sweet and quaint, with each one decorated as a different cloakroom. There are sweets behind the tills, and even a mini theatre where children (and husbands) may watch films while their mums shop! All the stock is visually merchandised really well too; overall, very interesting and appealing.

My next brief will be about infographics. This video is a short and simplified summary of infographics and is very helpful in explaining the basics; a nice piece of infographics in itself.
